Experienced various forms of trauma in her own life, she is committed to help end generational trauma Her mission is to help Generations SOAR…Survive, Overcome and Rise above life’s challenges. What better way to do this than through books? She is an advocate of African American Children's literature. Her motto is, “Trauma will not win.”
To further her mission to end generational trauma she educates parents, community leaders, teachers and children on being trauma informed.

APRIL FINDS HER VOICE
April has decided to use her voice. After being sexually molested by her uncle, she uses her voice to say no and tell her mother. She now goes around to schools empowering children to use their voice. This book serves as prevention and intervention of child sexual abuse.

LOCS LIKE MINE
Locs Like Mine takes you on a journey of a little boy who us teased for wearing his hair in locs. The book highlights different hairstyles and shows us how the little boy handled his bullies. By the end of the book, children will be encouraged to love their hair no matter how they wear it.
