How do Generations Soar?

Updated: Jun 20, 2021

What does it mean to SOAR? The standard definition of soar is to fly aloft or about, to sail or hover in the air, or to rise or increase dramatically. When we think of soaring, we often think about a bird or an eagle. We look at an eagle and observe them soaring with such strength. The eagle flies higher than any other bird. What if one generation decided to fly higher than the generation before them? What if a person decided they wanted to soar? If they wish to soar, how can you help them?

If they wish to soar, how can you help them?

When thinking of a name for my business, I thought about what population I wanted to serve and the ways that I wanted to help. I thought about the trauma, the hurt and the unhealthy patterns that are often passed down from one generation to the next. How will generations thrive if the same unhealthy patterns continue? After thinking about my own childhood trauma, and the trauma of children I have serviced, Generations SOAR was birthed. SOAR means to Survive, Overcome and Rise above life’s challenges.

Families do not have to stay in the same positions; they do not have to stay stuck. The choice is theirs. Generations Soar’s mission is to help families end the cycle of trauma and SOAR, by providing intervention and prevention through education, coaching and literature. Since launching, several books have been birthed such as, Is it my fault: Divorce from a child’s Perspective, Foster2Foster: A self-guided journal made for children in foster care and Locs Like Mine, to name a few.

Creating books on topics such as divorce, molestation, and identity, which are issues that many children experience daily; is how I decided to help heal and teach this generation. It’s how I decided to help Generations SOAR. How will you help Generations SOAR? How will you help yourself, your family or others to Survive, Overcome and Rise above life’s challenges? Will you change your own life and the lives of those coming behind you? You no longer have be a victim. You do not have to carry the pain of the generation before you or pass down your pain to the next generation. How will you SOAR?
